Company stamps in Qatar: self-inking, date and ready-made stamps

Which type of stamp suits your office, what to put on a company stamp, which ink colour to choose, and how to keep a self-inking stamp printing cleanly for years.

In Qatar a document often is not treated as final until it is stamped. Quotations, invoices, delivery notes and letters usually carry the company stamp next to the signature, and many banks and offices ask for stamped copies. So the stamp is one of the first things a new business orders. Here is how to choose the right one.

The three types of stamp

Self-inking stamps

The ink pad is built into the stamp and flips against the rubber every time you press. They are quick, clean and give thousands of impressions before the pad needs more ink. This is the type most offices use for the company stamp. We make them with Colop mounts in several sizes.

Traditional rubber stamps

A wooden or plastic handle with the rubber underneath, used with a separate stamp pad. They cost less and suit large or unusual shapes, but they are slower and need a steady hand for an even print.

Date stamps

A date stamp has small bands you turn to set the day, month and year. Many include a word such as RECEIVED or PAID around the date. Reception desks and accounts departments use them all day.

Ready-made stamps you can buy today

For common office words you do not need a custom stamp. We keep ready-made stamps such as APPROVED, CANCELLED, COPY, DUPLICATE, DELIVERED and RECEIVED, with and without a date. They are in stock and can go out with your stationery order.

What goes on a company stamp?

Most company stamps in Qatar show:

  • the company name in English and Arabic, exactly as on the commercial registration,
  • the CR number,
  • P.O. Box and "Doha - Qatar",
  • sometimes a phone number or the logo.

Keep it short. Small text fills with ink and becomes hard to read. Round and oval stamps are traditional for the main company stamp; rectangular stamps suit addresses and department names.

When you order, send us a copy of the commercial registration so the name and number are copied exactly. We send you a proof to approve before the stamp is made.

Which ink colour?

Blue is the usual choice for company stamps, because it shows clearly that a document is an original and not a black-and-white photocopy. Black is common for address and date stamps. Red is used for warnings such as URGENT or CANCELLED.

How to look after a self-inking stamp

  • When prints get light, add a few drops of stamp ink to the pad. Do not flood it. Let it soak in for a few minutes.
  • Use the same colour and type of ink that the pad came with.
  • Keep the stamp closed and away from heat, such as a car dashboard or a sunny window.
  • If the rubber fills with paper dust, clean it gently with tape or a soft brush.

Keep the stamp safe

A company stamp carries authority, so treat it like a signature. Decide who is allowed to use it, keep it locked away after office hours, and order a new one if it goes missing.
